Engine freight Australia-wide: shipping and delivery

In short: We send engines anywhere in Australia. Freight is quoted for each job. The price depends on metro or country, depot or door, and whether you have a forklift or need a tail-lift truck. Engines travel on a pallet or in a crate. We fit engines only at our Sydney and Melbourne workshops.

This page covers engine freight Australia-wide. It explains how we price freight, what we need from you for a quote, and when we can fit the engine instead.

Fitting is not included in the price and is quoted separately. Fitting is available at our Sydney and Melbourne workshops.

Where do you send engines?

We can send an engine anywhere in the country, to metro or country addresses. If the vehicle is broken down far from Sydney or Melbourne, we can still supply the engine. Your mechanic can then fit it.

How much does freight cost?

Freight is an extra cost. It is not included in the engine price on our listings. We quote it for each job, because the cost changes from one delivery to the next.

As a guide, a country delivery that needs a tail-lift can cost about $300 to $400 more than a metro delivery to a site with a forklift. Your quote shows the real figure.

What do you need for a freight quote?

Tell us:

  • your suburb
  • your postcode
  • your state
  • whether you want door delivery or depot pickup
  • whether you have a forklift on site, or need a tail-lift truck.

You can add these when you send an enquiry. If you are not sure about unloading, ask us. We can explain the options.

How is the engine packed?

Engines travel on a pallet or in a crate. An engine is heavy. Plan how you will unload it before it arrives.

When does my engine ship?

For engine only orders, you pay in full before we release the engine for shipping. See payment.

What if my engine arrives damaged?

See returns and refunds for faulty or damaged engines.

Can you fit the engine instead?

Yes, at our Sydney and Melbourne workshops only. For fitting, the vehicle needs to come to one of these two workshops. If it cannot be driven, we can arrange a tow truck to bring the whole vehicle in.

Our Sydney workshop is at Unit 1/28-30 Hampstead Rd, Auburn NSW 2144. Our Melbourne workshop is at 32A Adrian Rd, Campbellfield VIC 3061.

When we fit the engine, the engine does not need to be freighted to you. You tow it in and drive it out. Our warranty also covers the fitting work. See how it works.
